SYNOPSIS: Every year thousands of Tibetan Refugees escape Tibet crossing the dangerous glacial pass "Nangpa-La" a border between Tibet and Nepal on foot. They escape mostly during the winter when there are fewer Chinese border soldiers on guard. This dangerous journey usually takes almost three month during the harsh cold winter. Among the refugees, many are children who escape in order to seek better education in India provided by the Tibetan refugees schools. On September 30th 2006, a group of European mountaineers were the eyewitness to this brutal incident that Tibetans have been telling for the past three decades. On that sad day, a group of 75 Tibetan Refugees mostly children were crossing Nangpa-La, when armed Chinese border soldiers opened fire. 17-year-old Kalsang Namsto died on the spot, 13-year-old boy were shot, and many were injured and rest of the children who tried to escape were captured within minutes and This short documentary provides a glimpse of a brutal reality Tibetans face under the Communist Chinese Regime.
